The wood 'n' spoon restaurant is nestled at the lagoon of 2nd beach in Port St. Johns, Transkei – South Africa. The hosts are Zethu, a wonderful chef and manager and Mandla, a fantastic baker, craftsman and allrounder. Their specialities are fresh seafod, homemade burgers, vegetarian meals and flamegrillled t-bone steaks.
Zethu and Mandla took over the restauant in august 2008 after we decided to move to Switzerland. We built and ran this place for 6 years. Filled with thousands of precious memories we miss the lifestyle we experienced there a lot but still feel a strong connection to the Transkei and all the beautiful souls we met during this very special time.
